My mother passed away and left me boxes full of jewelry. I don’t know what is real and what is costume. Can you help?
Yes, Douglas R. Harris, Jeweler, Inc. can help. All you have to do is make an appointment with us and we will be happy to sit with you and go through all the boxes. We will separate the “real” pieces and with you and then make recommendations on what you can and should do with the jewelry. We can sell any old gold pieces that you will not use; make recommendations on how to re-purpose any pieces that may have sentimental value and suggest charities that would love to use some of the older pieces: Battered Women’s Shelter, The Little Theater of Gastonia, or a Day Care Center for dress up. At Douglas R. Harris Jeweler, Inc. we understand that at times, sentimental value outweighs monetary value and we respect and treat each piece as the priceless heirlooms that they are.
