Douglas R. Harris started his career in the study of fine jewelry, colored gems and diamonds while in high school in Garner, North Carolina.  He joined the team of Johnson Jewelers in downtown Raleigh as a senior in high school and began his formal study at the Gemological Institute of America.  Doug is a Registered Jeweler with the American Gemological Society and is a recognized Affiliate Appraiser with the American Gem Trade Association.
